Ear wax &amp; concentrat: Ear wax and suctioning can cause people to get dizzy due to the air currents created in the ear and the stimulation to the semicircular canals.  The dizziness can be perceived as confusion but is usually self-limiting.  Just tell your ENT that you are dizzy and he or she will slow down and not be as aggressive with the suction apparatus. Earwax: See your pediatrician or an ear specialist .They have the tools to remove wax.Once removed use several drops of hydrogen peroxide to keep, the ear canals clean.

Sounds like: ear infection with Pseudomonas, which is a bacteria that can cause greenish drainage with a peculiar odor.  It requires treatment with certain antibiotics.  You need to see a doctor.

Ibuprofen, exam: For short term pain relief, Ibuprofen in appropriate doses helps.You can also provide a heating pad placed against the head , this seems to provide some relief. Some viral ear infections self heal in 2-4 day. Bacterial infections tend to persist & may lead to real complications. If not better after 3-4 days of comfort care, an evaluation & treatment is advised.

Not likely : In general, tonsillitis can cause obstructive symptoms in the throat, not the nose. For the nose,  the adenoids (upper throat, behind the nose) can cause nasal obstruction . A nasal septum deviation or turbinate enlargement is very likely to contribute to nasal blockage. Adenoids can contribute to ear infections. Tonsil and adenoid problems can contribute  to sleep apnea problems. See an ent.

Zinc: If you have disfunction of your eustachian tubes which may be causing your ear infections i don't believe zinc will prevent your infections.

More serious ear: When the wax is starting to get black, it most likely is blood tinged.  If blood is being released in any part of the external ear, or typanic membrane (ear drum), a full exam and appropriate tx is needed.  You must see a physician.

Ear wick: An ear wick would help distribute the medication better. If that doesn't help, have it rechecked. All the best.

Ear: Good question. Unfortunately there is no OTC treatment for ear wax that works. You need to see an ENT to clean it out. Many people have their ears cleaned before they swim to make sure the water wont get trapped
