While this is not: The usual sign, seeing the gyn or urologist about the potential causes of uti's make sense, and a pap can be done.  Some might suggest that recurrent UTI may be associated with perineal hygiene and multiple sexual partners. Discuss this with your gynecologist, no easy fix or answer on the inernet.

Yes: A humid indoor environment has been linked to an increase in respiratory illnesses.  This problem must be taken care of  or there may be potentials for development of asthma, pneumonia-like disease, nasal congestion, and even permanent scarring of the lungs.  Advise vacating the premise immediately until after this problem has been fully fixed.

Unsure if true in US: It is not clear that hiv/aids has contributed to lower economic growth rates in the us as the prevalence of HIV infection in the us is not as high as others.  However, hiv/aids has dramatically affected and decimated economies in many countries in africa because of the high prevalence.  Many people infected with HIV in africa are in their productive years, but can't work thus affecting economy.

i had back surgery. on my lower back to clean out a herainated area could the surgery contribute to a kidney infection at all its been 5months.?

Unlikely this late: If you had Foley catheter used during surgery or post op there is increased risk of urinary tract infection at time of surgery but unlikely to occur this far post op in time unless your are self catherterizing as a result of bladder issues occuring preop related to why you needed surgery or as a result of surgery.  There is possibility of an untreated urinary tract  infection going to kidney now.

im 9 weeks and i noticed brown discharge when i wipe the doc claim its a bacterial infection but im not iching nor burning or have a odor what do you?

If you were my pt: I would have u come in, do an exam, do bacterial cultures and do an ultrasound, to make sure everything is ok with the fetus.

i keep sinus infections and levaquin (levofloxacin) doesn't fully get rid of them so is monodox the cure all my dr claims?

Sorry, no cure-all: Recurrent sinusitis usually isn&#x27;t the result only of infection. Typically allergy or partial blockage of a sinus opening is responsible for recurrent infections. Either levofloxacin (Levaquin) or doxycycline (Monodox) is likely to help any particular infection, but neither is better than the other, and probably neither would prevent all infections unless allergy or blockage is also cleared up.

Depends on titer: The higher the titer of anti-U1RNP and its relatives, the more likely it is that it's actually related to a real autoimmune disease. Low titers can often be detected and I suspect you are right -- and very serious infections (such as bacterial infections of the heart valves) are infamous for causing anti-nuclear antibodies to appear. These labs are adjuncts to the history &amp; physical exam.

Yes it can: Yes it is known to happen in bartonella henselae infected host cells in vitro by immunohistochemistry.

Should be safe: However please be aware that cranberry tablets have very small &amp; variable quantities of cranberry. Thus may not be very effective at preventing urinary tract infections.
