Oil of oregano : The body aches make me think you may have an infection. In the absence of infection, you can try mucus with three drops of oil of oregano under your tongue twice daily.

my son is only coughing, has a little of mucus, and when he coughs a lot he throws up. should i be worry & what can i do? home remedy? if possible.

Coughing: If this is of short duration, make sure his room is cool and not too dry. Encourage small amount of fluids frequently. If it persists or if he developed a fever have him checked. Coughing with vomiting is a symptom of whooping cough.

Mucus in Stool: Some amount of mucus in the stool is normal;

Significant amounts of mucus and mucus accompanied by diarrhea, pain or blood may signify an intestinal condition such as infection or inflammation.

Increased amounts of mucus in the stool can also occur with cancers of the colon or rectum or with bowel obstruction.

See your Physician for diagnosis and treatment.

Too many: There are too many possibilities and details and an exam will be needed before attempting treatment. Among common conditions seen postnasal drip, reflux, foreign body and reactive airway disease or asthma are possible in no specific order and aside from infections and/or lung related pathology. Starting with your doc will be the most helpful at this point.

otc cold and cough remedies, especially those that have every ingredient that can be put onto it.

Mucus secretions: Mucus secretions can be minimized by taking drying agents like antihistamines with or without decongestants like sudafed. This would be the opposite effect of expectorants or mucolytic agents like mucinex or expectorant like guaifenesin.

Oral Diphyl-G: Thick mucus has been a real problem for my patients with asthma. Mucus thinning medications such as Guaifenesin present in Mucinex (guaifenesin) and robutussin has been very beneficial. One other item which i prescribe to patients is a mixture of Dyphylline and Guaifenesin (difil-g) which i find very useful to bring the secretion up because of additional dilating effect on airway. Please consult your doctor.
