The motor cortex, speech area, speech/auditory association cortex, visual cortex, frontal cortex to include some. Consult your neurologist for your personal assessment if you are the patient.

Rehabilitation eval: Long standing "tightness" in the hand after a stroke is very common.  If left untreated it can worsen with time.  Evaluation by a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician can be helpful to determine the best treatment for his tightness (spasticity).  Medications, physical therapy, splinting, or botulinum toxin injections are all options to consider.

Strokes can be caused either by a bleed or a clot in the brain, decreasing circulation to parts of the brain. The longer the clot or bleed is left untreated, the greater the chance of stroke extension, paralysis, loss of body function, and death.
Time is brain. Call 911 asap. Do not drive.

This should be done several times a day, each time doing one to two sets of twelve repetitions.

Yes: A small/superficial injury to the skin of your hand should heal without any issue, even with your wrist exercises.  It sounds like the injury is not over a joint so you should be fine.  Just keep the wound clean (frequent hand washing and keep it covered until it heals or a scab forms) to prevent infection.

Back&amp;hand Pain: Pain that radiates from upper back to hand indicates a need to see your doctor.  You mention pulling a muscle while exercising.
