i have been having problem with my right ear due to excessive ear wax. have used soliwax liquid to let the wax excrete itself from the ear but nothing?

: Ear wax can become compacted over time. One or two ear washes won't clear the problem. Try doing the ear wash with warm Liquid daily for 2-3 weeks. The wax will soften and eventually diminish as parts of it dissolve away. Do not put any q tips or other tools in your ear, as this will only compact the ear wax further and may push the wax against your ear drum.

itchy fungal infec. in corner of ears (where earlobe folds).when scratched, a raw scab forms & liquid (ear wax?) will leak (sometimes excessively) from scab.liquid hardens/crystallizes after certain amount of time - becomes liquid again when touched.

Anti fungal: I am guessing you had this diagnosed by an MD. You should have been given an RX for an anti-fungal.  You could try Clotrimazole, or Tolnaftate (cheap at dollar stores) applied 3 x per day.  If persistent see an ENT specialist or a dermatologist.

i was dropping debrox into my ear to loosen ear wax and yellow liquid immediately came out of my nose.  is this normal?

Tympanic Membrane: Hi Charles,

It seems that the debrox solution is leaking from your external ear canal into your middle ear, at which point it is draining through your nose (see image). This suggests that you have a perforation of your ear drum, or your "tympanic membrane" and that's how the debrox is leaking through. I suggest you have a doctor take a look in your ear canal to confirm if here is a perforation.

ear wax is draining out of my son's ears. he is complaining of pain and "liquid" in his ears. he's had tubes. is an ear infection beginning?

Hard to say: If he has had tubes in the past you know he is prone to infections. This may or may not be an early stage of an infection. I can't make much of wax draining but pain is worrisome. I would give him some ibuprofen for now &amp; arrange to have it checked when convenient.

Have your doc do it: No good way to do it yourself. Common techniques such as cotton swabs push it deeper in or injure the ear.  Removal of wax through direct visualization is safest and most complete.

Ear wax or fluid: Muffled hearing, crackling, popping and pressure feeling have been described in patients who have excess ear wax or fluid. Some do not experience any symptoms. Have your primary doc or ENT take a look in your ears.

Accepted Answer

Hydrogen peroxide: At home, never use q-tips.  Try using hydrogen peroxide 3% ( a dropper full) 4 times a day for a week.  If that does not help, see an ENT doctor for proper irrigation particularly if you have impacted wax.

See ENT: When it comes to the ears and earwax the single most important thing is to leave  your ears alone. The ears make wax to protect the ear canal skin and when you try to clean it you make your ear canal skin angry and it makes more wax. See an ENT to make sure your skin is okay and doesn't require medication and then stop trying to clean them.

my right ear has excessive wax build up! and my right temple keeps jumpin. could that be from the ear wax blockage?

No: Excessive ear wax should not cause anything else than hearing loss and may be ear discomfort.  Your temple jumping may be a nervous tic.  See your physician.

Clear discharge: With the time frame for this continuing it would be best to see an ENT physician to check to see what this is based on. Many things can present in this fashion and should be evaluated
