It depends.: I do not think that a heart condition is likely, given your age and results under normal conditions.  It depends on when you get these episodes, and under what circumstances.  If they happen during a hectic period in your day, like at work, etc., i would say anxiety is likely.  However, if they occur at random points during your day, or after exertion, i would say get a stress test, etc..

Couple of days: it may last couple of days as teeth get a costumed to increase pressure. Don't worry.!!

Contact your MD: It is beyond the scope of this service to diagnose the cause of your "excess salivation" however I am not familiar with it being related to diabetes.  At times poorly fitting dentures, certain medications or other oral  and systemic conditions can cause a stomatitis and result in excess saliva.  I believe it would be in your best interest to see your md for a comprehensive evaluation.

Noisy breathing : Noisy breathing on inspiration without any other cause. Diagnosis can be when patient has an episode and laryngoscopy shows inappropriate closure of the vocal cords. Treatment can range from speech therapy to reflux treatment to tracheostomy.

GERD?: You may be suffering from gastroesophageal reflux (gerd).  This in turn can be caused by gastropatesis, a sluggish stomach.  Antacids may help your symptoms, but you should get a work up which may include an endoscopy or a gastric emptying study.

Excessive saliva: This is actually a good thing . Those with poor saliva production suffer a lot with dry mouth, dry eyes, dry arm pits etc. Ask your DDS/DMD for a anti saliva medicine if you really need it. BUT only if you really need it.

See your PCP: and dentist. Excessive saliva can be caused by either an increase in your body's production of saliva or a decrease in your ability to swallow saliva. Causes of increased saliva are : medication (e.g. Klonopin), gastroesophageal reflux disease or pregnancy or oral infection. See your PCP and dentist for evaluation and diagnosis.
