Many other things can cause anisomia(loss of taste and smell) but look for common things first.

Most have the basic set but some are more sensitive to certain odors and there are changes with nasal disease and damage to the internal head strucrtures from injury and certain diseases.  There are a few with altered smell (dysosmia) and some have none at all (anosmia) which is quite uncommon.

Loss of smell: This is very common after a respiratory infection. You cannot taste as well when you can't smell. This should improve in a few weeks.

COVID 19: Most COVID 19 patients with anosmia recover within 3 weeks. The median time to have return of sense of smell is 7 days.  However, for some people it takes many months. The sense of smell greatly effects sense of taste. When we can't taste food, it can take the pleasurable effects of eating away.

Asparagus or UTI: Foul smelling urine is sometimes the only symptom of a uti. Urine can acquire a very distinctive small after eating asparagus. Hope it is the latter, but get a urine test if smell persists.

Loss of Taste: Probably not.  The sense of smell is carried through small fibers of the olfactory nerve that pass through the front base of the skull.  These fibers are easily injured.  The taste and smell work together.  Unless you are taking a medication known to affect your taste the taste buds are probably working but you don't have the sense of smell.  If it does not return by 6 months, then not.
