Very accurate: The oral fluids HIV antibody test is the only one that sometimes takes 3 months to be positive. (All blood tests these days are conclusive by 4-8 weeks, depending on the specific test.) However, at 10 weeks your result is well over 95% accurate, so it is extremely unlikely you have HIV. Stay relaxed while you wait for your final test; it will be negative. Good luck and stay safe.

Probably from 1-6 mo: This window apparently can vary with the individual seroconversion.  The recommended testing of patients is at initial exposure, at 6 weeks, at 3 months, and at 6 months.  Many specimens positive with screening elisa are indeterminate on western blot, and so can be tested by immunofluorescence assay (ifa) more than one month later.  So it must take up to 6 months to get positive test results.

Simple test: You could opt out; the medical establishment can't force you to submit to the test, but i would highly encourage allowing the test to be run; if not for your sake, then for your unborn child...Hiv is very treatable with modern medicine, and meds during pregnancy significantly reduce the risk your baby could be born with hiv...Do the screening; you have nothing to fear other than fear itself.

: There has been much internet buzz about hepatitis C virus interfering with HIV testing, but it's rare if it occurs at all. And contrary to popular belief, HCV is not an STI, except in one circumstance:  men having traumatic anal sexual practices with other men. Assuming your partners are male, the chance you were exposed sexually to HCV is nil. All your tests are 100% conclusive:  no worries!

Tested too soon: You did not give us the kind of test you had done, but if it was an antibody test you have tested too soon and will need to test after at least twelve to twenty-four weeks.

Not sure: Why do you keep testing for HIV? Is it because you think you might have contracted the infection or because your physician keeps recommending it because of your symptoms? Either way it is highly unlikely to have the infection if you did not have any unprotected sexual activity.
