Cannot answer...: The answer to your question lies in why you are having irregular periods?  Is it high prolactin, polycystic ovarian syndrome, thyroid issues, or something else.  This info is very important to correct the problem.

Known side effect: The copper IUD is known to cause heavier periods, probably due to localized irritation and inflammation.  If it is sufficiently severe the solution is to remove the IUD.  The Levlen (ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel) might help but that defeats the point of the IUD.  A better approach would be to switch to the progesterone IUD which will actually decrease flow.

Stay on it: ...Until you are ready to get pregnant. Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) is my preferred birth control pill for my pcos patients. I recently had one that was on it for three years and recently went off of it. Her cycles so far are regular and she will be trying to conceive.

This is common: This is a very common combination in birth control pills. It is generally tolerated well. Like any birth control pill, there is a risk of nausea, vomiting, headaches, break thru bleeding, mood changes, and blood clots.

Borderline: You're really kind of on the borderline of whether you should see your doc or not.It's very normal to experience irregular and variable cycles for up to several months after stopping a hormonal contraceptive.If it would give you peace of mind, then maybe you should just make an appointment and see your doc.They may or may not want to do a blood test or ultrasound.They may tell you this is normal.

Consequently, if not taken within the hour of the previous day, withdrawal bleeding can occur. Additionally, they should be taken in the evening, so that the lowest blood levels do not occur in the early hours of the AM.  PMS symptoms can occur if late.

i have taking 2 pills daily of 0.03mg ethinyl estradiol and 0.15mg levonorgestrel for over 1.5 year.can i change it to 1 pill per day? and wat safety?

Odd dose: Are you taking these pills as birth control? It is not typical to be prescribed two birth control pills per day for 1.5 years. Clarify with the prescribing doctor what medicine you are taking and how to take it. If this is birth control then it should be taken once per day.
