: That would depend on amount and frequency and length of use. Any such self medication is wrong and can be injurious.  Medical claims of most these things are unsubstantiated and often erroneous. If you have a specific problem pl consult a doc and stay away from herbs.

With the lab: Normal ranges are created by the labs doing the tests. The methods used to test hormones can be different and so can the average ranges. The ranges are frequently based on the labs employees donating blood for analysis!

Estradiol: Estradiol is synthesized via aromatase from testosterone. Estrone is synthesized via aromatase from androstenedione. Estriol is synthesized from both Estradiol and estrone. Estradiol is ~10 times as potent as estrone and ~80 times as potent as estriol in its estrogenic effect. In some men on t replacement, too much t is converted to Estradiol and may require a drug like Arimidex (anastrozole) to block.

Yes: Blood clots, acne, fluid retention, priapism, exacerbation of prostate cancer, exacerbation of male breast cancer, local itching, worsening of an enlarged prostate, headache, enlargement of the breasts, allergy, depression, male pattern baldness. Just like all medications, use it if it's necessary in the lowest effective dose, if the benefits outweigh the risks. Your doctor can help you decide.

Few if needed: The key is to only use if needed and get the right amount to replace a deficit.  Too much can cause problems with the prostate, atrophy of the testicles, fluctuations in libido and mood, elevated lipids, and acne. Adjust your dose: By testosterone side effects, i assume you're getting a prescription from your doctor. In that case, tell him/her exactly what your side effects are and when you notice them. S/he can make adjustments to your regimen to maximize benefit while minimizing harm. Rarely, s/he may need to prescribe a 2nd agent and/or recommend therapeutic phlebotomy. Regardless, go see your doc!
