See below: Lexapro (escitalopram) 5 mg/day is a low dose. However, if you are sensitive to the side effects of meds, and your liver enzymes metabolize the drug slowly, you may need a lower dose. Some studies have linked ssri use to a loss in bone density. Also, ssris can interfere with the function of platelets in your blood and increase the risk of bleeding, esp. If you take Aspirin or other blood thinners.

Taper off.: Venlafaxine can cause withdrawl symptoms if stopped abruptly. It is recommended to wean slowly and may lower dosage every 2-3 weeks till on the lowest dosage possible which can be around 37.5 mg and then it can be stopped. Go slow.

i started lexapro, (escitalopram) 5mg/day, 15 days ago and feel extremely restless/anxious.  sleep is awful.  is it worth it to continue?  will these feelings go?

Lexapro (escitalopram): plus Prozac or cymbalta (duloxetine) can precipitate serotonergic syndrome. Any one of the agents can precipitate mania or hypo mania ( any chance you might be bipolar ? )  don't combine the agents without strict supervision ( heart rate, BP, temperature, etc)  often switching from one serotonergic agent to another requires a wash out period of up to 2 weeks.

No: Decreased sexual desire and ejaculation disorder, but it is not effect the sperms directly.

Memory loss: Benzodiazepines like Clonazepam can cause short-term memory loss.  I suggest talking with the doctor who prescribed you these medicines about this.
