Could be reflux: this can assume Jim is coming with reflux. You would be wise to discuss this with your physician.  You may be advised to see a gastroenterologist to help confirm this diagnosis. You should have s chest x-ray or other imaging to see if there are any chronic lung problems from reflux. The sarcoidosis may not be an issue anymore but that still needs clarification in view of your persistent symptoms

GI symptoms: This may or may not be related to the illness and antibiotics, but you need to be seen and evaluated, preferably by a GI doctor. Cl. difficile may be part of this, as may be simple alterations in gut bacteria (try eating yogurt). The reflux may be a variety of issues, many without relevance to your prior illness. See a doctor.

There's inconsistent data for solvents & nitrites.

For instance, we know that women who have tubal sterilization for birth control are at decreased risk of developing ovarina cancer.  It is thought that this may be due to blocking of environmental chemicals from reaching the ovary through the tube.
