hi, i got a sonogram today and my gyno said i have enlarged ovaries but no cyst. she didn't give much of an explanation. should i be concerned? i'm 17

Seek clarification: Contact the doctor who did your sonogram and ask for clarification. Since no treatment plan was made I suspect everything was normal but the only one who can confirm that is the doctor who did the test. It is perfectly acceptable to contact them and ask for a better understanding of your results.

See below: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Having said that, your TSH is near the high range suggesting thyroid deficiency, despite high pulse rate. It is not feasible to provide a meaningful opinion without taking additional history, physical examination and may be some tests. It would be prudent to see your doctor.

ultrasound showed one ovary is enlarged. no cysts or anything else. trying to conceive. is my enlarged ovary causing no conception?

Only if no ovulation: Enlargement of one ovary may or may not stop ovulation. However, if both ovaries are enlarged then ovulation may not occur regularly as in PCOS patients.

Bad pain = ER: If you cannot control your pain at home with the medications provided, then should go to the er. Also, if the pain has suddenly changed character / worsened / moved, then go to er. If "same old" pain, call your gyn, but if un-reachable, go to er.

ovarian cyst have ruptured and collapsed but empty sac still in causing enlarged ovary (and pain). can the sac dissolve on its own?

i have a 3.4 cm ovarian cyst and am postmenopausal. it grew onehalf cm. if i have to have surgery for ovary out will i experience menopausal symptoms?

Not likely: Since you are already postmenopausal, it is not likely you will change status with this surgery. Your indication for surgery has more to do with making sure the large ovary/cyst is not cancerous.

Routine GYN exams: Ovarian cysts tend to come and go as do follicle. These are normal; however, you should check with your gyn again in 2-3 months. Otherwise, these conditions , as you stated, appear to be normal.

Depends: At you age most cysts are simple, functional and almost always resolve after next cycle. If the cyst is complex than it may need further investigation.
