Asymmetrical tonsils: Tonsils that are differing in size can be a normal variant or indicate a  a problem such  as chronic infection  in the crypts or crevices of one  tonsil more than the other. There could be a growth in one tonsil making it seem larger. Bottom line, see an ent.

Not very clear: What exactly did ENT diagnose you with? What is your question here? Best thing will be to follow up with ENT if that option is still available.

Infection? Tumor?: The cause for a single tonsil to enlarge can be related to the positioning of the bed where the tonsil sits producing an illusion of a large single tonsil or it can be related to tumors such as in conditions of lymphoma or even tonsil cancer. Most cases, it is not worrisome, but should be sorted out by your ent.

Tonsil stone: Is very common condition. Many small tonsil stones do not cause any noticeable symptoms. The larger stones can have a major symptoms like a bad breath, sore throat and earache. No symptoms no special treatment is  required.

hi.  my nephew has a uvula that deviates to the left and he cannot articulate words.  he is 6 yrs old and cannot speak more than four or five words. . could this uvula deviation be related? his left tonsil is enlarged also and uvula is touching it?

: I don't think the uvula or enlarged tonsil is the problem. The issue is whether there's a serious speech development disorder which his pediatrician would recognize and make proper referrals for evaluation and therapy.

Infection: Could be bacterial, viral, or fungal.  Better let your General Dentist, your General Physician, or an ENT have a look.

Large tonsil: The symptoms you are describing are concerned for a possible peri-tonsillar abscess.  That's when there is a collection of pus behind one tonsil.  It typically causes a lot of pain on one side, it's hard to open your mouth because of pain and your voice will sound muffled.  We call that a "hot potato" voice.  Once you have the symptoms you are compaining of, you really need to have this evaluated.

sore throat, was put on zpak for bronchitis my left tonsil is enlarged a great bit now my throat hurts worse?

Probably viral: Illness is probably viral and probably will run a course of 7-10 days. Watch for any shortness of breath, or significant fever.
Another possibility is mononucleosis.

Get checked.: When one tonsil is larger than the other,  and this is new, you should get checked by your doc, even though you have no fever.  Sometimes strep can present without a fever, and sometimes without a sore throat.  Other things can cause this though, and it it's impossible to say without more detail and seeing it in person.
