See your dentist: for further evaluation especially since it had been recurring for over 2 weeks. There is a special oral screening device to determine your condition.  Based on the findings , you may need to be referred to as an oral surgeon, an EENT,..depending on the complexity of the case.

inflamed foliate papillae on right side of tongue with an ulcer like hole in between for 3 weeks. now having a sore throat too. doesn't smoke or drink?

Lymphadenitis: Lymphadenitis occurs when the lymph nodes become enlarged due to the by inflammation. The swollen glands are found near the site of an infection, hence sore throat could be the source. 
Rec. See a general practitioner for evaluation and treatment if need it.

No: Your thyroid gland is lower than your pharynx or tonsils.

Likely infectious: Probably either viral or bacterial pharyngitis.
You should have an exam and probably get a strep test.

Probably viral: Illness is probably viral and probably will run a course of 7-10 days. Watch for any shortness of breath, or significant fever.
Another possibility is mononucleosis.

i have had a sore throat (glands enlarged in throat) for over a week and i have constant headache. do i need covid-19 test. if yes, how do a get someone to come to my house to test.

Testing: People are still getting other illnesses than COVID.  Given no cough or shortness of breath, other than watchful waiting COVID should pass in a week or two. Strep, influenza still possible. This testing can be done through your own provider. You can also get your own strep test at pharmacy or many can swab you there.

Adenopathy: 2.8 cm is certainly considered pathologic; really the actual assessment of the tissue is your answer. There are several possible diagnosises, infection, inflammation, autoimmune disease , reactive and yes, malignancy. I would wait for the results, if malignancy is found, have it sent to a center of excellence for a confirmatory second opinion.

Sore throat: How do you know that you have a bacterial throat infection? Did you have a throat culture to prove it? If it's a strep throat infection, a simple course of penicillin or Erythromycin is effective. If it's a viral infection no specific treatment is needed as antibiotics are ineffective.

enlarged superior medestium lympho gland found on mri now i have to have a chest x-ray why is this.  10mm been suffering with chronic sore throat ?

Mediastinal nodes : Enlarged nodes in the mediastinum are always abnormal.  The cause could be sarcoidosis, infection (including tb), malignancy, and many others.  Please follow through with diagnosis until the cause is elucidated.
