my left side belly shows upper than right why while my every repots are normal like ct endoscopy usg like blood test normal. what is finding?

Gastric inflammation: Often what looks inflamed on endoscopy does not prove to be anything serious. But some forms of gastritis, such as atrophic gastritis might be cause for treatment before surgery. Additionally, though rare at your age, some gastric cancers can look like inflammation to the endoscopist. The pathologist's microscopic exam takes a day or tow, but can prevent a costly mis-step.

are aerosols cleared out of a room before starting an aerosol releasing procedure like an endoscopy? is there normally some type of air purification post post procedure? getting scoped and im afraid there will be aerosols from the previous pt. worry?

Negative pressure: Most procedure rooms have ventilation systems designed into bvb them from the start to deal with exactly these problems. Some are even negative pressure rooms that actively suck out the room's air and replaced it on an ongoing basis.  Have never heard of problems from aerosolized infections due to procedures in all the medical literature I read. Just forsaking not happen with proper ventilation.

a few circular folds in my duodenum photo from endoscopy go halfway around, like a semicircle. several folds appear short. they go maybe 1/3, 1/4 or less of the way around. does this mean the folds are reduced, or normal variation in length of folds?

: The doctor who did your endoscopy must have some reason to justify doing this test. Do you know the reason behind it?
The folds that you saw in the photo of the duodenum are normal. The pattern of these folds has no significance and vary among different people. I would not be concerned on account of what you noticed.
But your first source of information should be the doctor who did your Endoscopy.

my endoscopy biopsy looked exactly like something caused by celiac disease but my blood test came back negative, what else could it be?

Biopsy definitive.: In regards to celiac disease, the biopsy is more diagnostically reliable than the blood test, so if the blood test showed typical evidence of celiac disease, I'd believe it.

what is it like to have an endoscopy?

Endoscopy: I had one done once with a teaching endoscope. Normally you will be given medication that will relax you (and possibly sedate you) along with anesthetic sprayed on the back of the throat. In my case no med was used except anesthetic spray. I gagged a little bit but found it fascinating to look at my own stomach through the scope.  It really wasn't bad.

are you as anesthesiesed during a bronchoscopy like you are for a endoscopy?

Yes: During bronchoscopy you receive conscious sedation.  You aren't out completely but are comfortable for the procedure similar to colonoscopy or upper GI endoscopy.

had a endoscopy today and there is a line in the result saying dx: r/o antral dysplsia would like to know more about this and how to cope with it.

More info needed: I need to know more about your medical history and what symptoms and meds you are on.  I recommend you speak to your doctor who did the procedure and find out what he is recommending.  He/she may have done biopsies at the time of the endoscopy.  I would relax and speak to your physician before becoming concerned.  Sometimes dysplasia is not concerning.  Best wishes.

why do an endoscopy?

To screen for cancer: If you are referring to a colonoscopy, which is a lower gastrointestinal endoscopy, then they might find polyps (precancerous growths) or colon cancer. On the other end, there are upper endoscopes (egds) which look at the esophagus and stomach and first part of the small intestine and there could be cancers found there too.

can i eat the day of endoscopy?

Afterward: You may eat  after you have recovered from sedation. I would avoid alcohol and spicy or acidic foods the first 24 hours.

Accepted Answer

No: You should not eat for 6 hours prior to an endoscopy.
