Not likely: At age 18 you are likely near your maximal height, and nothing can be done to change that.

Back pain: Follow up with sports med orthopedist get xray /MRI of spine  may be  mild scoliosis / spinal bifida occulta / par defect cogential stenosis/ Chiari causing pain ( I have seen that) . Would check HLA-type as  ankylosing spondylitis-arthritis is associated with HLA B27 it is more common  in males -usually is noted in the 20's, rarely can be Tarlov cysts. Also consider rheumatology/ PT f/u

i got stuck with a pin from a badge yesterday. my son found it on the floor of his elementary school bus about a month ago. i received my tetanus booster about 7-8 years ago. i cleaned the wound immediately. do you think that i am adequately covered?

About Tetanus shots: For minor wounds, such as being stuck with a pin, a tetanus booster 7-8 years ago is still considered protective. Tetanus boosters are recommended every 10 years, after a child's Tdap shot at age 10-11 years. A child's booster after that can be another Tdap at age 20-21 years. It's fine to get a booster a year or two sooner, if one thinks she might not have a chance to do it at the 10-year mark.

Probably, but...: Undercooked paper turkeys can cause salmonella infections, but the salmonella bacteria are made of paper lips and cotton balls. The treatment is eating paste, but i wouldn't reccomend it. :p.

i tested positive for hsv1 at 62.20 high it says, but i haven't had a coldsore since elementary school, is this an old or new infection?

Probably old: All that can be said from this test result is that you have been infected with HSV1 for at least several weeks. The number itself says nothing about how long, and it could be since childhood. If your cold sores all those years ago were typical oral herpes -- i.e. blister-like sores on the outside of the mouth, not canker sores inside -- you can safely assume it explains your positive test.

Hormones: Probably hormonal change. Usually gets worse as you get older. You should be happy it went away with out treatment.

Not only is this important because your building a medical database that will help you break down medical problems presented to you in the future..but I'm sure your classmates have the same questions as you do.
