daughter, 25, just had a procedure yesterday to burst a kidney stone. they put her to sleep went up in. today left elbow swollen & hot no pain?

Let me explain: If she have no problems in the elbow before most likely some pressure from positioning during the procedure she have most likely will subside.
The second reason she could have problems in the elbow and know she recurrence of it. Did she have gout?.
If so should be treat it.

Several potentials: If there has been an associated injury, a fracture could certainly cause swelling and soreness.  An infection is also a possibility, especially if there is associated redness and/or warmth.  Olecranon bursitis is a condition at the elbow which can also cause swelling and pain.  See a physician if symptoms persist.

Bite: It may be a spider bite, but then again, it could be a bite from a hornet, wasp or bee. Sight unseen it is difficult to render a dianosis.

Need more info: How did you injure it. Is there any bruising?? The swelling is NOT normal and a repeat x ray or advanced imaging CT/MRI might very well be indicated!

Difficult problem: Olecranon bursitis/infections can be very difficult to cure.  His doctor will need to aspirate and culture out the pus (if he/she hasn't done that already) to find the right antibiotic. Sometimes these need to be treated with intravenous antibiotics and sometimes require surgery.

And?: What are you doing about it? It doesn't sound like you can wait past today without addressing this immediately with a health care professional.  Things can get worse, much, much worse, in the next couple of hours.  I would act now to address this.

Need evaluation: The first thing that comes to mind is diabetes, however, it would not be prudent to make a diagnosis without additional history, physical examination and may be additional tests.

Yes: You sound like you have an incompletely treated infection. You have an abscess that needs draining.  Please see an orthopaedic surgeon asap.

Swollen elbow: May be a number of things including bursitis from trauma local skin infection or more serious injury and arthritis. Would be advisable to see physician and get both eyes and hands on to make diagnosis.

Be seen: Unless you somehow injured it in the night, it is likely either an inflammatory or infections process.  Examples of inflammatory conditions that can affect the elbow include bursitis, gout, pseudo gout; infectious processes can include a cellulitis, infected bursitis, or septic elbow.  It would be wise to be seen and fully evaluated.
