i want to use dexorange syrup for iron but i am concern about - whether it is veg syrup or non-veg syrup? i am pure vegetarian. i don't eat egg also.

Dexorange syrup: Dexorange is made from vegetarian sources, not animal ones: http://tinyurl.Com/lq9vafc still, most men don&#x27;t need extra iron if eating good diets -- including plenty of leafy greens as a vegetarian.  Please have your doctor check your iron studies, and be sure you need supplementation before doing this.  If you have low iron from bleeding, this needs to be investigated also.

Yes: These are good sources of iron. Other suggestions are:
    Lean red meat,chicken thighs or legs, Oily fish (tuna, sardines, mackerel, trout or salmon). Include oily fish in your toddler's meals once or twice a week.Also, dark green veggies, baked beans, lentils, dried fruits and iron fortified breakfast cereals. :)

hi. i've read that low iron/anemia can make my eggs non-viable.  is this reversible when iron levels are increased?

Unlikely: Anemia can make you weak and unwell but has no serious effects on your body functions like the issue that you have raised. That is not something I would be concerned or worried about. get a medical check up to find the cause of anemia and get it treated. You will be well soon!

No!: That sounds dangerous to me!  there are special very fine-toothed combs meant to remove nits  (the remaining lice eggs) from strands of hair.

Thalassemia: You have to introduce foods slowly to babies. You should check with your pediatrician. I think you can gradually introduce all foods as tolerated. If iron deficient has to be treated.

No egg: Your infant is too young for eggs.  Would wait till at least one year.  No association of eggs and thalassemia.   Use a standard infant vitamin drop with iron if baby is breast fed.  If infant is formula fed, most formulae have vitamins and iron in them.  Good luck.

Treat the cause: The cause of your anemia appears to be blood loss due to the fibroids. This leads to iron deficiency which you are trying to correct. But it is playing catch up and may not succeed. So you need to get treatment for the fibroids...ask your gynecologist how to fix up the source of bleeding. No other diet will help you.

Take diff. multi. &amp;: No adult males should take iron supplements unless proven deficient. Iron is a pro-oxidant that increases risk of disease and most men get plenty from their diet. Change to a multivitamin without iron.
Consider donating blood- periodically donating blood may reduce risk of acute heart attack up to 88%!
