Head eczema meds: You can try derma-smoothe scalp oil. Cream tends not to work well in the hairy area where the medication can't reach the affected skin. Apply with a tooth brush and leave it over night until the rashes go away. If it does not, please see a doctor since it might be something else and not eczema.

Treat & Prevent: My basic approach to eczema treatment is to find the cause, which is usually there if you look for it. If eliminating the cause is impossible, medium-strength topical steroids and other treatments achieve control in most cases. A dermatologist will be able to tailor a treatment to your specific situation.

Various: My treatment of eczema is three-fold. 1. Moisturization is most important with a thick ointment or cream-based moisturizer. 2. Prescription medications are often needed to treat the inflammation

Lip dryness, eczema: Persistent dry lips may be lip eczema, which can be treated like skin eczema, using hydrocortisone cream plus Vaseline or Aquaphor to retain moisture. Sometimes, lipsticks or lip sunscreen chemicals are causing an allergic reaction on the lips. Other times, a person is a primary lip-licker (it's her habit). Once cracked, lips get irritated by routine foods and juices. A doctor can sort things out.

Eczema: Tough to tell without a picture of it, but with lots of eczema flareups, you can have what is called post inflammatory hypopigmentation to the skin.  Basically after a flareup where there is inflammation going on, it can heal with a lighter color skin tone to it.  Can take some time for that to improve and go back to normal.

Accessory Treatments: Things you can do to improve eczema: 
1 Avoid triggers- ex dietary vs clothing, allergens. 
2 Add an antihistamine
3 Keep the skin extremely moisturized, you can use a thick gel like vaseline
4 Short hydratint baths, sometimes with oatmeal producs. 
5 visit a naturopath regarding accessory treatments, 6 dietary changes, avoid milk, gluten etc.

Not on line issue: Eczema can be a lifelong problem. It often starts in infancy with 1/3 showing some food triggers. Food allergy tests may help some depending on age. Treatment usually requires a mixture of moisturizers/ topical steroid creams &amp; may include other advanced meds. A written skin care plan that varies the treatments with the increase/decrease of symptoms is needed.Find a doc &amp; stick with them.
