You could: How you behave after surgery may be influenced by what type of anesthesia and medications were utilized for your surgery as well as the type of pain medication you are taking after surgery.  Some patients following IV sedation or general anesthesia may exhibit euphoric behavior while others may be very quiet and sleepy.

Whenever you can: Patients respond and recover differently following surgery.  Some patients who have four wisdom teeth eat their regular diet immediately following surgery, while others may remain on soft food and liquids for several days.  I advise my patients to begin on a soft diet and advance their diet to a regular diet as they can tolerate it.

Accepted Answer

Once it seals.: As soon as your socket (hole) heals and closes up, you will be able to return to normal eating. Until then, it is important to avoid food impaction in the socket. If you meant "chewing food normally", you should be able to do so once the discomfort disappears. This will likely take 1-4 weeks, depending on the involvement of surgery and your healing ability. Be sure to have a balanced diet to heal!

could eating less solids after wisdom teeth extraction cause more frequent urination?

Accepted Answer

Yes : You are probably eating more soups and gravy-type foods since the extraction.  In addition, if you were put to sleep, you may have been given IV fluids to keep you hydrated which will make you urinate more often.  Continue drinking clear fluids as this will speed up your healing.

Yes: Yes, if eating a food doesn't cause any pain, eat it. I holes will disappear over time. Rinse or flush after eating if any food particles enter the sockets.

A good "rule" to: Follow for the first week - anything that you can very easily separate with a fork only, you can eat.  This opens the door to a variety of breakfast, lunch and dinner foods.  

Sutures present -soft only.  No sutures placed - then whatever you can tolerate comfort-wise.

Depends: What you feel after the removal of wisdom teeth can be very variable, from very minimal discomfort, to fairly severe (but short-lasting) pain.  It depends on how difficult the extraction was and also the skill of the dentist who did the extraction.

Normal things: Might be swelling, difficulty opening your mouth and pain.  These are temporary and should last a few days.

A few things: Could be residual blood from the extraction sockets, potential infection or stale food particles that are trapped in the extraction sockets.   See the doctor that removed the teeth to take a look.
