Tachycardia: It may and you need to have small meals, avoid large meals.

Maybe: It depends on his level of overweight.  He should be professionally evaluated.  How do you/he know that his heart rate jumps during eating?  I would be more concerned about when he is exerting himself by walking or lifting.  Without more information, all I can recommend is a complete physical and a visit to a health coach and/or nutritionist.

i'm a 44 year old woman and 5'8" and weigh 295 pounds. i noticed that since i started eating healthy, my heart rate seems to be in the 50s, laying in bed when i wake up or laying in bed tryingtogetto sleep. is this normal?

: Some people have a low heart rate when at rest. If you are having symptoms like lightheaded or dizziness, then see your doctor. There are many possible etiologies for a low heart rate at rest but if your heart rate increases with activity and you are not having any symptoms, then no treatment is needed. Have your doctor review your meds to be sure none are causing this to occur. Good luck!

Varies: Normal heart rate varies between 60-100.

Unlikely: If your heart rate goes up and your blood pressure goes down on a tilt test, it could explain faints, if you're having them. It wouldn't explain digestive issues which, at least superficially, suggest gall bladder disease.

Presyncope: Unclear if a paroxysmal arrhythmia has been ruled out ( Holter monitor or a loop recorder), the elevated troponin remains of concern and may be the result of a demand/supply mismatch during tachycardia events. Anxiety is always part of such episodes, by itself would not increase troponin level. Further work up is needed.

Normal reflex: Blood shunted to splanchnic vessels heart rate increases to keep cerebral blood flow constant.

Yes, that is ok: there is work with digestion and blood goes to the gut, that will increase the heart rate.
