They don't : Not sure exactly what back cramps are? Many pregnant patient have pain in the low back in the third  trimester due to posture changes.

Cramps yes  no blood: Cramping without bleeding is common in early pregnancy as the uterus begins its' growth. Bleeding with cramping is not normal and may indicate a developing miscarriage.

2nd trimester, maybe: Once the uterus becomes an abdominal organ and leaves the pelvic cavity in the 2nd trimester the symptoms may abate. However, your abdomen will become distended at that point, and there may be other symptoms of pregnancy.

Yes: As the uterus enlarges, cramping in early pregnancy is frequently due to spasm of ligaments which are attached to top of the uterus. It may occur when walking, getting up from sitting, and can be especially bad with sudden movement. The cramping from round ligaments is not associated with bleeding or pain that is severe and constant. As with any concerns, the patient should see her obstetrician.
