i feel like i have a lot more discharge than normal. but i also have a sinus/ear infection. can these two be related?

See below: Sinus and ear pathogens can be similar and can connect to each other anatomically via the eustachian tubes which connect the middle ear to the throat and thus, indirectly, the sinuses.  However, 98% of sinuses infections are viral and 85% of all middle ear infections clear without antibiotics.  Thus, if you are having prolonged symptoms, they could be related but are more likely viral.  Get seen.

i have an ear infection and have been on amoxicilina for 6 days. the first 3 days my ear was blocked. now i have a constant clear and sticky discharge?

Ear drum rupture: Your ear infection was accompanied by an effusion - a collection of fluid behind the membrane.  That fluid gave you the sensation of being "blocked". Now the pressure has reach a point that the ear drum ruptured and now that effusion can drain. It's not an uncommon occurrence. Finish your antibiotics and follow-up with your primary care doc for re-eval to assess whether ENT referral is needed.

See an ENT: An Ear Nose and Throat specialist needs to take a look in that ear and determine exactly what is going on...it may not be a bacterial infection at all!  Treatment will depend on what they find.  Good luck!

Otitis Media: This sounds like a middle ear infection. Are you on antibiotics?  Are you on antibiotic ear drops. 
Two days is not time enough to clear a middle ear infection - takes 7 to 14 days, if the medications are effective.

Usually: Most episodes of true ear discharge (pus or blood) represent an infection of the middle ear, commonly referred to as an ear infection.  The discharge is coming from either a ruptured ear drum or a surgically placed ear tube.  Ear discharge may also represent what is commonly called a "swimmer's ear, " or inflammation of the ear canal, which can be caused by cotton swabs, water or a foreign object.

just treated my 18 mo son, who has ear tubes, for ear infection. once the meds stop, his ear started discharging again. do i need to treat again?

Probably: If there is drainage you generally need to use the antibiotic drops.  You do not generally need to use oral antibiotics.  Ask your ENT about it.  Persistent drainage after a course of antibiotics could mean a resistant bacteria or a fungal infection-- they may want to take a sample of the drainage to culture it.  Also you may want to keep water out of the ear while it is having issues draining.

i have been on neomycin drops and amoxicillin fir a few days for a outer ear infection. ut still getting discharge only at night no pain what's goin on?

Still normal: A bit of drainage is still normal if you are just a few days into treatment. That's why you need to continue your medications until they are finished. On rare occasions, you may need ENT to clean out some of that debris, but usually not considered until you have finished your course of medication. If the pain is gone, sounds like you are making appropriate progress.

my son is 4. has a white discharge coming from his ears and he said she can hear well from it and it hurts a little.  when i look in his ear i see a white creamy substance towards  the middle ear. does he have a ear infection or is it normal?

Not normal: A discharge from the ear is not normal.  Assume infection until proven otherwise.  Talk to his pediatrician!
