Dyscalculia  is an : alternate name for a Neurodevelopmental Disorder, "Specific Learning Disorder with impairment in math" diagnosed in school-age children with average to above-avg. IQ's who have difficulty with math calculation &amp; application. Acalculia is an acquired disorder from a stroke or other brain injury, in which patients have trouble with simple calculations, even with identifying the larger of 2 numbers.

Dyscalculia = " to : count badly", from its Greek &amp; Latin root words. Deficits in information processing, memory &amp; retrieval in an infant or child who lacks age-appropriate intuitive understanding of numerical concepts cause developmental dyscalculia. Acalculia is acquired &amp; of late onset. It is caused by anything that damages areas of the brain involved in mathematical operations. Acalculia = unable to count.

Dys- vs a-: In general the prefix dys is used to indicate an impairment in a being able to accomplish a task or process while the prefix a- indicates complete inability to perform the process or complete absence of the item.  For example, dyscalculia would refer to a learning disability in some aspect of math while acalculia would refer to complete absence of math skills usually acquired as a result of braininjury

: I don’t think that your dyscalculia can affect your driving.  Dyscalculia generally has to do more with mathematics, arithmetic.  I think that your ability to drive will be okay.  Maybe drive a little more cautiously.

Many types...: Bronchodilators such as albuterol (Ventolin) or levalbuterol (Xopenex) enlarge the diameter of the airways to help air flow and mucus come out of the lungs. Patients with cough-variant asthma, exercise-induced asthma, or regular asthma also use steroid inhalers (such as Flovent) to reduce swelling, mucus, and "sensitivity" in the airways. Singulair is an another medication that can be used.

Approaching: depression wi multiple modalities is best. There are many
things you can do for depression.  Don't isolate. Spend time w people. Use your support system. Get out. Don’t stagnate at home. Work to get 8 hours or &gt; of sleep per night &amp; eat healthfully. Daily aerobic physical activity is a big +.  Recommend the “Feeling Good Book" by Dr. David Burns. Don't just read it - DO IT!
