Dyscalculia is an : alternate name for a Neurodevelopmental Disorder, "Specific Learning Disorder with impairment in math" diagnosed in school-age children with average to above-avg. IQ's who have difficulty with math calculation & application. Acalculia is an acquired disorder from a stroke or other brain injury, in which patients have trouble with simple calculations, even with identifying the larger of 2 numbers.
