Trauma with Xarelto.: If you develop new symptoms within the next hour or two you need to proceed to the emergency room pronto.  Otherwise just be more careful and concerned.

Throat discomfort: If you're experiencing a sore throat along with headache, an early viral upper respiratory tract infection would be likely. If you feel like there's a lump in your throat, that and tension headaches suggest that stress and anxiety are the problem, especially if the sensation of breathing problems are noted at rest but not with exertion. Observe for development of cough,head cold. Call MD as needed

Can be a 911 moment: Most people have a headache at some time, such as from colds and flus, lack of sleep, too much driving, long hours on the computer, stress at work, etc... A "severe" headache, recurrent or weird headache, or one with other worrisome symptoms should be examined. A severe headache with a blood clotting problem means calling 911 for the ambulance to the ER, to check for brain bleeding or clotting.

dvt in left calf diagnosed a week ago.  on lovenox (2x day) and 5mg coumadin (warfarin).  experiencing left sided tingling in leg, arm and head (slight headache too).  is this a side affect from meds?

See a doctor: The tingling on one side of your body and headache  has me concerned about a bleed or clot  in the brain. Please go to the emergency department at the hospital to get checked out.

pain, swelling and tenderness in one of your legs (usually your calf)
a heavy ache in the affected area.
warm skin in the area of the clot.
redness of your skin, particularly at the back of your leg below the knee.

Yes!: While most deep clots is are characterized by swelling, pain,  and discoloration of the  area, a patient  may not know if  they  have other conditions.  Some of these include injury to  the  area , muscle tears,  history of  swelling  or  poor circulation. Seek medical  advice if these symptoms occur as  a delay in diagnosis may  result in problems  like clots in the lung or pulmonary embolism.

is pitting with a dvt bad?

Dvt: It means leg is swollen and edemtous. The pitting varies from mild to severe. Should resolve as DVT is resorbed.
