Pain: A dry socket would be a sharp pain, particularly when you breathe in.  It is caused by the clot that was formed after the extraction coming loose.  This exposes the bone and causes pain.  Return to the dentist who did the extraction and they can place material that will help alleviate the pain and help the area heal.

Jaw pain: it is difficult to determine the  source of pain. Many dentists like to label all postoperative pain as "dry socket" not knowing exactly what it actually is. Certainly an ulcer can be very painful, and it takes a skilled examiner to determine IF the pain resembles dry socket, or if it is superficial like ulcers. See an oral surgeon.

Yes: Instructions from your Dentist should be followed.  If you are having no pain, you may proceed in your diet and activities as directed.  Some tenderness is common, but medications should no longer be needed.

Not necessarily: The  socket healing, after extraction, may depend on several other factors rather than a "normal" healing time.  The overall health of the individual (diabetes, immune disorders, blood disorders, ) may affect the time range.  Also, the extraction procedure itself may affect- bony, soft tissue, both, sectioning the tooth, position of the tooth and roots prior to extraction, ) infection, home care.

Dry socket: A dry socket usually presents as severe pain 3-4 days after the extraction after a period when the pain was mild to moderate previously. Please contact the dentist who actually treated you for advice and ask if it's necessary to be seen for an evaluation at this time.
