Follow  dentist's: Written instructions after an extraction. Avoid strenuous activity to include heavy lifting. Just plan to take it easy. Avoid activities that create suction (smoking or sucking from a straw). Don't swish vigorously. Avoid alcohol ; hot beverages. A soft or liquid diet would be good.  
Why not put healing ahead of the desire to smoke?

No, no, no!: A great time to quit smoking altogether!  smokers are much more likely to get a dry socket.  Your body needed clotted blood as a 'bandaid' yet it's gone.  Now you need the gum to grow back as fast as it can to cover the exposed bone.  The gums need blood to do this job. Yet smoking shrinks blood vessels, preventing the blood to reach the gums. Do not smoke, better yet never. You'll live better.

No: It may be fine, but depending on the nature of the procedure, previous infection, location of extraction, the risks are not 0%.  Try to refrain as long as possible.

Do not smoke: You have made it for 96 hours without smoking. Try to make it permanent. It is the best thing you could do for your health.
For good health - Have a diet rich in fresh vegetables, fruits, whole grains, milk and milk products, nuts, beans, legumes, lentils and small amounts of lean meats. Avoid saturated fats. Drink enough water daily, so that your urine is mostly colorless. Exercise at least 150 minutes/week and increase the intensity of exercise gradually. Do not use tobacco, alcohol, weed or street drugs in any form. 
Practice safe sex.

Not necessarily: You will not necessarily develop a dry socket if you smoke after extraction, but this is a terrible idea. You have bleeding tissue and you're exposing it to smoke and tar! it will definitely complicate your healing. Save money; stop smoking :).

5 days Non-smoker: Dry sockets are most likely to develop in the first 5 days. This is among non-smokers. Smokers have higher chance of dry socket. The longer you wait, the lower the chance. Stay away from smoking for minimum 5 days, and if you can do longer it is highly advisable. Hold out forever is even better!

No fumare: Smoking will delay clotting and healing and could lead to dry socket which will cause you so much pain you may want to give up smoking  which isn't a bad idea.

Depends: Dry socket develops for many reasons, smoking plays a very small part on that, just follow the instructions of your dentist.
