Dry mouth: My guess would be you have some nasal obstruction, from allergies or other cause. Some medications can also cause dry mouth. This type of situation cannot be properly diagnosed nor treated over the internet. If you want help, see an ENT specialist for an evaluation and discuss effects of dry mouth with your dentist as you are more prone to cavities and gum inflammation.

Mouth-breathing.: Since Mucinex (guaifenesin) dm does nothing on the nasal congestion, your dry mouth is likely from mouth-breathing.    Try a nasal decongestant and see if this may help (mucinex (guaifenesin) d?) . If not, see your doctor to make sure that you don't have a sinus infection.

Many things can cause this condition, including dehydration, dry climate, mouth breathing, medications, etc. Since she's under the care of a physician based on her listed meds, why don't you make an appointment for her to be evaluated? In the meantime, make sure she is adequately hydrated.
