I've had dry mouth for more than two months. my dr has told me to suck sugar less candy, which gives me some relief but doesn't remove the condition ?

See Oral Pathologist: There are many conditions might lead to dry mouth and caused serious oral and health issue. Ultrasonic or x-ray can be used to diagnosis if any blockage of salivary duct. If caused by health condition, it is better get a consultation with an Oral Pathologist for help.

Very difficult: Dry mouth is a very difficult condition to treat, and it could cause very significant dental problems. There are new products available to treat dry mouth. Talk to your pharmacist. In the meanwhile, sugarless candy is an excellent way to stimulate saliva.

See your PCP: There are many causes of dry mouth like side effect of certain medications, diarrhea, certain diseases and infections (diabetes, anemia), nerve damage, just to name a few. See your PCP for proper diagnosis and treatment or referral to a specialist.
