i have dry cracked skin in my big toes. it started out as just flaky skin but now its spread and i have small bumps on the side of one of them. help!

Athletes foot: Athletes feet starts as dry skin and and lead to cracking and some skin changes that you are complaining about. It is caused by fungus, called tinea pedis. You can try an over-the-counter anti-fungal cream for athletes feet. Be sure to apply it twice a day

i have really dry, cracked tops of my big toes, i have been using moisturiser on them for at least 1year but no improvements. also my nails crack easy?

Dry skin: Moisturizing the skin works best when the moisturizing lotion is rubbed into the skin while the skin is still wet when being washed. You might want to experiment 
by changing the type of socks and shoes that you wear.

Athletes foot: Very likely an athlete's foot infection. Try an OTC cream like Lamisil (terbinafine) for 2 weeks

Antibiotics are for: Infections.  If there is cracking of the skin, it may be caused by fungus, in which case an antifungal cream is indicated.  If it is truly just dry and cracked, a moisturizer with urea or Lactic Acid may be best for helping to clean that up.

No.: Many joints can be "cracked". The leading theory seems to be that of cavitation, which is small areas of vacuum forming in the joint fluid which when released cause the "cracking" sound.

Usually fungus: This is usually caused by fungus, although there are other possibilities. An over the counter antifungal cream used for 3-4 weeks should help. If not, see a skin doctor for a more detailed evaluation.

Don't get Crack'in.: It may be that in you need to "crack" your toe, you have really cracked you toe, or at least damaged the surrounding soft tissue. Stop harming your toe and see if the problem resolves. If not y, you need to consult a specialist.

Multiple causes: Nail cracking or fissuring can be caused by fungus, damage to the root or matrix as well as a number of dermatological conditions. If there is also discoloration under the nail, fungus is the likely culprit.

Skin Fissures: Most skin softeners are inadequate when treating stubborn heel callus and heel fissures. A urea based cream or sal acid based cream is necessary to soften these thick calluses. Periodic debridement with a pumice stone or callus file is also a must. You can even glue fissures together with crazy glue.
