: Give your voice rest. You may try inhaling water vapor. Any lozenges may help by soothing the throat. If you have fever, get tested for infection like covid or flu. Sore throat: Likely the "cold" and scratchy throat resulted in a little irritation to the upper airway - the trachea. That, combined, with some lymph. Ode swelling secondary to the "cold," (check the area under your jaw line) can result in the feeling of a "lump" in the throat. If it doesn't clear soon, consult an ENT specialist.

Cough for 2 weeks: You need to see the doctor. Feeling of tightness in your throat could be a sign that you are wheezing. Gagging could also be a symptom of whooping cough.

Post nasal drip.: Most likely post nasal drip.  But need to r/o sinus infection versus other causes of cough.  Otherwise you could used nasal saline twice a day.

A dry non productive of mucus cough is frequently secondary to a post-nasal drip. It can frequently be dealt with by using a medicine called benzonatate and does not need antibiotics.

Cough: Cough is usually caused by an infection and starts acutely. Cough usually lasts a &lt;3 weeks. Studies show chronic cough is caused by postinfectious bronchial inflammation ,post nasal drip (PND), GERD or asthma around 65-90% of the time. PND most common dx. Tuberculosis can be a concern. If you tried antihistamine and decongestant to treat PND and lasts &gt;2 more weeks see your doctor.

Cold : Sounds like the common cold, which is very "common" and a virus. No antibiotics for these. So, is it possible that ts something else?- yes- but common things commonly occur. Colds go with the help of good immune system support, like eating well and by keeping the hands clean.
