Likely not. : It is more likely pulsatile tinnitus. It is essentially caused from "hearing" your heartbeat in your ear. This may be due to high blood pressure or congenital malformations. Please see your primary care provider to have it checked. That can also look in the ear canal to make sure it is not a "bug".

Eust. tube dysfxn: Any type of sounds in the ear can be generically labeled as tinnitus.  The "drumming"  could be you hearing your own heart beat.  You have several major blood vessels travel within millimeters of your ear and the eustachian tube can transmit this sound to your ear.  If this tube (connects the nose to the ear) is congested, you might have this problem.  Decongestants or nasal sprays may help.

Hyperacusis~: hello ~ it could be that you are sensitive to the lower decibel range of sounds but it could also mean you have a conductive fall off of hearing. Have your ears checked for wax and removed if you have it and if not have a proper hearing test (audiology) it might be revealing. Probably worth seeing an ENT guy anyway. Ok? thanks

i'veused terra cortril ear ointment 2 weeks back.now i can hear a drumming sound from that ear and feels like wind is blowing in my ear.is it normal?

Need to be checked: What for did you use Terra Cortril.It is not normal to hear drumming sound and like wind blowing

I think the: best way to find out is to quit for a while and see if your symptoms improve.  Loud noise of any kind is not good for you if you suffer tinnitus, even with protection.

Sinus disease: Certainly if your nasal sinuses were infected, this process can affect other sinuses in the head. There is the 'middle ear' which is connected (as are the other sinuses) -so I think the process is now up there. Hopefully you are taking care of yourself, because that is a key to getting better. TEN hours of sleep, hot tea, soup, plus any OTC meds that might help with the symptoms. See doc if needed

my left ear is still drumming despite finishing my sinus meds prescribed.  i have continued with fexo 180 daily and the sinus sprays.
in addition, i still feel weak and fatigued despite starting the iron tablets and lots of rest.

If you have ear: problems and you have finished your "sinus meds" which I assume is a decongestant and/or antibiotics, you may need to wait another 1-2 weeks and hopefully the fluid in your ears will continue to recede.  You may get dizzy to from the fluid congestion in the ears.  If you have more facial pain, fever or worsening mucus from your nose/ throat, then you need antibiotics for longer course.
