No: Once diagnosed with any thyroid condition, the condition known as "thyroid eye disease" can occur at any time, independent of the thyroid status of the body.  So in your case, the puffy eyelids is due to the thyroid condition, not the over-treating or under-treating of the thyroid in the body.

Thyroid Eye Diseas: Thyroid eye disease is primarily treated by managing your thyroid disorder with medication by your primary care doctor or endocrinologist. Symptoms due to dryness and exposure from bulging of the eyes can be managed with lubricating eye drops. Surgical intervention may be necessary in some cases. Evaluation by an eyemd is recommended.

May not recede: Some hyperthyroidism caused eye issues will not recede and require surgery.  It is important that you make sure your thyroid levels are well controlled.

Maybe: Part of what makes the eyes appear abnormal is that the eyelids are pulled back; this gets better with treatment. Inflammation around the eyes will generally decrease once the thyroid levels are normal, but if there is a lot of soft tissue buildup behind the eyes, they may continue to bulge out.  Surgery can be done, especially if the bulging is causing double vision.

That's what: Hyperthyroidism is. A certain kind of hyperthyroidism, known as graves' disease, is usually associated with goiter and can have eye problems -- but good old, garden variety hyperthyroidism is just an overactive thyroid. We don't know the cause, it just occurs in a certain percentage of people.

Hyperthyroidism: If your eyes r not already bulging & the hyperthyroid condition is properly controlled, u should not develop the bulging eyes (exophthalmos) seen in untreated hyperthyroidism.  Discuss further with endocrinologist & ophthalmologist.

i woke up with with what looks like could be the start of a black eye right in the corner (by my nose)  and just below my one eye. blue/red in color. not sensitive to touch or anything.  just appeared. my blood pressure is fine but i am hyperthyroid right

Not related: Anyone can get a broken blood vessel near eye. At times from rubbing (allergies) and times removing make-up... But no connection to thyroid.

You need to: Discuss it with your physician, and may also need a referral to your ophthalmologist, particularly if your hyperthyroidism is graves' disease. Make sure your hyperthyroidism is closely followed during your pregnancy as levels can change abruptly.
