Yes: The FDA approved, label dosages for insomnia are from 25-50 mg nightly. We use this medication off-label routinely to treat morning sickness in pregnant women at higher doses than this. Overall it is a very safe and well tolerated medication. It can cause urinary retention in older people with prostate or bladder issues though.

Unisom: is not considered to be addictive in that there are no withdrawal side effects. Its use over a long period of time is not recommended as it has anticholinergic side effects that can interfere with memory, attention and ability to deal with outside stimuli.  Do not take it with other sedatives or antihistamines like Zyrtec (cetirizine).

Have somebody take you to the emergency room to get your stomach pumped. Anticholinergic side effects can include, racing hert, pounding chest, hallucinations, seizures, dry mouth, thickened secretions.

"Doxylamine, a first-generation antihistamine, is identified in the Beers Criteria as a potentially inappropriate medication to be avoided in patients 65 years and older (independent of diagnosis or condition) due to its potent anticholinergic properties resulting in increased risk of confusion, dry mouth, constipation, and anticholinergic effects"

Good luck: if you are fine by the time you are reading this answer,then nothing happened. doxylamine is in an antihistamine: it can make you tired, dry mouse, dizzy, etc. the effects should wear off in a few hours, if you are healthy.
If you do this medication for fun – do not do it. Find some other ways to have fun. I treat a lot of patients who got hooked on medications quickly

Yes it is ok: Doxylamine succinate is a first generation antihistamine and is used for allergy.As compared to the second generation antihistamines like loratadine(Claritin)it will cause drowsiness.But if you can tolerate and have no side effects you can take it in dose of 25mgm longer than 2weeks..But I advice my patients to switch to second generation antihistamines like Claritin,Allegra,Zyrtec or Xyzal.

It is an Antihistamine which makes you drowsy

Trust your body to have sleep as it has done for 21 years
Exercise in evening
Use Breathing Relaxation, Visual Imagery, Tai Chi, Yoga, and Meditation, Music
