A member asked:

Is it ok to use doxylamine succinate at 25-50 mg for more than 2 weeks. also how long of a break is needed between 2 wks of using it? thanks

Yes it is ok: Doxylamine succinate is a first generation antihistamine and is used for allergy. As compared to the second generation antihistamines like loratadine(Claritin)it will cause drowsiness. But if you can tolerate and have no side effects you can take it in dose of 25mgm longer than 2weeks..But I advice my patients to switch to second generation antihistamines like Claritin,Allegra,Zyrtec or Xyzal.
