Maybe not: The dose you were given is much more than the prescribed dose.  Check with your doctor before taking.

A single dose?: If you just took a single extra dose, you don't require any specific treatment. Just lie low today as your blood pressure and heart rate may be a bit slower than usual and you may be somewhat more prone to dizziness. Depending on the formulation you use, it will wear off in 8 to 24 hours. If don't feel well, of course, you should go to the ER.

Check with your doc: Loratadine is not mentioned to have interaction with verapamil.

i am currently tapering up on verapamil 40mg to eventually 40mg tid a day. right now i am  on a half bid. will my next dose be a half in the morning and a whole at night?

That would be: one way to do it. But you might want to start getting in the third dose if your target is three times a day dosing. I would probably recommend you add another half (20 mg) in a mid-day dose. Try 1/2 at 7 am, 2 pm, and bedtime/10 pm. Depending on what you are taking this for, at your age perhaps arrhythmia control, even spacing of time between doses could be more important. Discuss with Doc:)

Some overlap: There will be some overlap, but I would wait 24 hour. You want to blunt the rebound that occurs when you stop clonidine and verapamil will help that.

high dose verapamil (more than 240mg a day) for migraine? is this ever employed? my migraines aren't controlled well enough at 240mg.

Very common: The dose should be made on an individual basis, weighing the possible benefit of a higher dose with possible side effect risks. Giving someone more than a maximum of 480 mg per day is not recommended for any type of migraine.

is verapamil capable of 'aborting' a migraine?if i've had an intractable migraine,is it possible if i dose to 480mg that it'll break?or not happening?

Verapamil: is usually indicated for prevention  rather than treatment   of migraines, when used on a regular basis. Please consult your internist  and  neurologist. Certain foods can aggravate migraines. This can be searched on the web.

currently on verapamil 480mg to control afib. still having some afib episodes. my doc wants me to take a low dose beta blocker too. is that safe?

Maybe: It depends on what your resting heart rate is on the verapamil. 480mg is already a decent dose and i suspect in "normal mode" your heart rate is relatively slow ~ 60? With the beta-blocker you will slow down the heart rate in afib, but might lower your resting heart rate too much in the process. How symptomatic are you with the afib episodes? How fast is the heart rate? Consider ablation?

taking daily moderate verapamil dose for cluster headache prevention. if i accidentally drank 10oz tonic water 5min ago, what will happen to me?scared

Nothing serious: Tonic water has some quinine in it which may occasionally cause mild side effects but since it is already more than 8 hours, you should do fine from here on.
