i had lasik surgery in 2014 and now i notice more broken blood vessels. even with visine, can't  get the whites really "white"...any advice?

Don't use Visine: It doesn't do anything to solve the underlying problem. Start with pure lubricating drops at least 4x/day, ie artificial tears. Avoid anything with "redness reliever" and "itching reliever". Avoid rubbing your eyes also, but keeping them lubricated is key. Follow up with your eye surgeon if you still have concerns. Good luck.

blood vessels on my eyes since june. i did have sinus & herpes1 infection.had eye exam,eyes fine.visine don't work.i want my eyes white again.but how?

See a specialist: You may have increased vascularity (prominent blood vessels) in the eyes for a variety of reasons. Do you wear contact lenses? An eye specialist can help you. I wouldn't recommend eye drops without their advice. Hope that helps.

Sub conj nemorrhage: A broken blood vessel on the surface of your eye is totally harmless.  It can be caused by a hard cough or sneeze, a hard bowel movement, or even just rubbing your eyes.  It may occur more often in people who take blood thinners or Aspirin on a regular basis.  There is no treatment necessary for this, but it may take up to two weeks to resolve.

Neuralgia: An irritable superficial scalp nerve may be the cause of this symptom. This is more of a nuisance disorder which usually resolves without any specific treatment. Less likely would be an inflamed temporal artery. A neurologist is best qualified to evaluate and advise you if this symptom persists.

for the last few months, i have been randomly popping veins/blood vessels in my feet and sometimes hands. i am feeling more fatigued than usual. the popping of veins in my feet causes problems with walking due to pain. what could this be a symptom of?

: Popping veins is not normal under any circumstance. See your primary care doctor

Accepted Answer

No ; but....: A popped blood vessel in the sclera is a subconjuntival hemorrhage.  Visine is a vasoconstrictor & will not do anything to improve it.  Then you have the phenomenon of rebound vasculitis (more redness) when visine is used more the 3 times a day for over 2-3 weeks.  Visine should only be used for red eyes of non-pathological causes and at most 2x daily for max of few days.

three days ago bent over to pick up block and felt 2 pops in left hip. very painful mostky in hamstring. just saw broken blood vessels on back of leg ?

Will require rehab: Hamstring strains are common injuries in an active population and a common sports injury. A sharp sudden pain and possible pop is experienced. The severity of the injuries is graded from 1-3. A 1 is a slight pull and a 3 is a tear. Strains can be in the substance of the muscle or can involve tearing of the attachment to the pelvic bone. A comprehensive rehab program is needed for a full recovery.

in the last 2 days i have had two blood vessels pop in my wrist. i also think i might have tennis elbow (never diagnosed). can they be related?

No: Lateral epicondylitis is an overuse of forearm flexor muscles, and a resultant pulling at their insertion at the lateral elbow. Blood vessel pops may have a vascular cause, and is rare enough to have it looked at by your doctor to determine that this is not a more significant problem,,such as a blockage

my brother had an tumor and then turn into an aneurysm  the doctor says he had too many nerves and blood vessels that would just pop what's the called?

Brain aneurysms: Apparently the doctor tried to say your brother has multiple blood vessel aneurysms. Aneursyms of blood vessels in general carry a small risk of bleeding around or inside the brain. The risk is affected by the size, shape and location of the aneurysm.

blood vessels keep busting in my hands and feet. i feel a pop, then an itch and some swelling. then a bruise. it's happened twice already today?

Need to see doc!: Shouldn't be like this. You need to see your doctor and have a CBC drawn, to make sure your platelet levels are not low.  Also, i would make sure i did not take anything with Aspirin in it, or Ibuprofen or aleve (naproxen). But you need a visit to your pcp!
