Unlikely: By sharing such a small space, your child is at risk for catching illnesses from his friend.  If you can avoid them sharing toys, drinks, or snacks, perhaps the exposure will be a bit less.  Fyi, "flu/influenza" is a serious but seasonal illness... It is not likely that the other boy has "the flu"; more likely a string of routine colds.

Yes: Most viral infections peak at day 3 and begin to improve by day 5. Anything that gets close to being there for a week without improvement should be checked out. Drink plenty of fluid - eat some light high protein foods and keep your appointment. Good luck!

Can be effective.: 2014 – 2015 Flu Shots:  Trivalent works against 3 influenza viruses – Influenza A viruses (H3N2 &amp;  H1N1)  &amp; 1 influenza B virus. Quadrivalent  &amp; the live attenuated Influenza vaccine work against these &amp; a second influenza B virus.

is an alcohol based sanitizer effective against cold, flu and covid19 virus? if i sneeze on to my palm or mucus is in my hand and use sanitizer twice, will it work (even if my hands have some mucus)? washing my hands all the time is not possible?

Depends: Some sanitizers are made with weaker concentrations of alcohol or have been found otherwise less effective than others. I believe the FDA has published a list of those products to avoid. Most with an alcohol content at or above 70% are quite effective. Mechanical hand washing has advantages when any debris is present.

i had a cold sore today and got a flu shot. i take valacyclovir to treat a cold sore. will the valacyclovir impact the fly shot if i take it today?

No worries: Mild illnesses need not cause one to postpone a flu shot. The annual flu shot contains protection against Flu A and Flu B. It is ok for a person with cold sore symptoms or other minor problems to get a flu shot, if she does not have other major medical reasons for not getting the shot. Antiviral medication does not affect a flu shot injection. The shot has no live viruses in it.

Yes: There is a flu virus going around the entire western hemisphere, just as it does every year. The peak of flu season is not yet here.  Get your flu-shot while you still can.

No: Once you recover from influenza you will not be more likely to get other viral infections.

Yes and no: There are viruses that attack the heart but they tend to be present in the spring. The influenza virus isn't one of them. While the virus itself doesn't cause extra beats, being ill with fever and/or sweating,  and/or diarrhea, and/or vomiting, and/or reduced fluid intake and/or disturbed sleep - all can affect  your heart rhythm.

Many possibilities: There are many reasons why you could have had more illness this past year.  Some may be related to pure chance, while other reasons may be related to an increase to exposure to certain infections.  If you are concerned that there could be an underlying deficiency in your immune system, consulting with your doctor would be beneficial for an evaluation.
