Usually/maybe: Used appropriately (proper size,application before any intercourse) a condom is relatively good at preventing pregnancy. Using a calendar to predict fertility is a good way to improve chances of getting pregnant, but not so good to avoid it.During training we called it Vatican Roulette, because its just another game of chance, and you can lose big.

Can't tell: you need to be challenged, by stopping all birth control methods, try to conceive for at least a year in a stable relationship and regular intercourse, before deciding to investigate your ferlity status. Hormonal and ovulation studies , besides other studies as Ultrasound can be performed any time, but you still need to try to conceive, good luck

Sexual intercourse.: Theoritically 1st week of a new cycle is considered infertile period but it is a bad idea to have unprotected sex . You could sill get pregnant depending on the viability of sperm which can remain alive for up to 72 hrs. it is always advised to use some form of protection to avoid unwanted pregnancy.

Infertility: may not be an issue - were you having sex when most fertile?  (near time of ovulation) At age 17, having a baby may not be the best choice for you. If when making a concerted effort to become pregnant over a year - you are not successful, could consider fertility work up.

Pregnant?: At 16, your ovulation may not be yet at a constant time, and unprotected sex can certainly cause pregnancy.  It is not by any means certain that your "not getting pregnant" means that you are "infertile",  so consult your gyn physician for advice on birth control if you wish to avoid pregnancy.

me and my girlfriend had protected sex with a condom, i did not ejaculate and have not masturbated in the past 4 days. her period is due in the next week meaning she is in the infertile period? what is the likelihood of her getting pregnant?

Don't take chances.: In general - recommend use of protection all of the time - if pregnancy is not  desired. Even if you too had sex in the week prior to her anticipated period - is it worth the risk?

Most unlikley: If you and your partner are healthy and she has normal ovulatory cycles and normal tubes and uterus...there is no reason to assume "it is infertility". 
"Doing that the 1st 7 days after her periods" may still miss her fertile time of the month which is usually a few days before and about 36 hours after ovulation. If planning a pregnancy, you need to track her ovulation day, and "do that" then.
