i'm a person who loves to drink softdrinks and i know that it's bad for my health and i don't want to have a urinary tract infection either. can i instead maximize the water intake every time i drink softdrinks? i don't drink softdrinks everyday tho?

: Yes Water drinking is always good .
Whenever you drink the cold drinks then right after you should rinse your moth to neutralize the bad effect of the drink on your teeth .

Alot: Everyone should try to drink at least 4 eight ounce glases per day amd if outside in the heat may need much more. You can't over do it. Stay hydrated drink alot all day every day.

Too much water?: The best rule to follow is to drink only when you are thirsty. Drinking several gallons a day can lead to dangerous low blood sodium resulting in confusion, seizures, coma and death.  Not to mention the need to pee all the time to get rid of the water.

DRINK WATER: For one who is 53 kg or 117# drinking water between 1-1.5 liters is ok. As general rule, consume water as follows: 100-150#: 1.5 l; 150-200#: 2 l, 200-250#: 2.5 l, etc.  You may need to drink more water depending on the activity in which you are engaged. For example, drink 1/2 l water before  and after sauna. In general, your body will use what it needs and eliminate the rest.

No sweat my pet: Living in the desert it is hard to get enough water.  Keeping hydrated is necessary to allow your body to perspire which is the body's cooling system.  In the desert you may not realize how much you are sweating since it evaporates so quickly.  Warm skin may be the first signs of heat stroke.  Keep hydrated so your body can cool itself.
