With decongesant: Yes if they are combined with a decongestant such as pseudoephedrine, they come in d combinations, such as Claritin (loratadine) d, zyrtec d, Allegra d. If you take an antihistamine alone it does not affect the blood pressure.

No, But Don't Do It: Zyrtec (cetirizine) is an antihistamine- so you shouldn't be taking it with other antihistamines. However, antihistamines don't typically elevate the blood pressure. Decongestants (ie sudafed) can cause blood pressure elevation. Zyrtec (cetirizine) shouldn't be a problem.

Poss infection: While these symptoms could be allergy, the fact that you have not had relief with medications suggests that it is time to see the doctor. These symptoms could also indicate a sinus infection. An allergist can help sort this out and determine what you are allergic to and help determine a treatment plan for better relief.

i got stung by a bee on my ankle, swelling started after 24 hours and got progressively worse 48 hours. cannot put any pressure on foot because of swelling. have been taking antihistamines. would it be advisable see a doctor?

Check TMJ: Check for Temporomandibular Joint pain by holding a finger at the entrance of the ear canal while opening and closing your mouth.  If the motion is clearly the cause then taking pain medicines , rest and a soft diet is recommended.  Other causes could be swimmer's ear which is like a small pimple in the ear canal or a severe middle ear infection which would require antibiotics.

Won't work: you need re-evaluatin, see your ENT or another ENT, second or even third opinion, it's your right. I don't know what kind of surgery you had, but constant pain like you described would not be solved by just tripling antihistamine dose, good luck

Watery drainage and itching are more likely to be associated with an allergic reaction/antihistamine.

Tessalon : It is not good to combine antihistamine with cough suppressant. Try tessalon perls. Perhaps it is prescription item. You may have to ask PCP to prescribe

i heard many people with cough typically have a wet cough and that antihistamine would help in drying out mucus and stop the cough, is this true?

Wet and dry cough: Wet cough is usually real phlegm from the lungs that can be expectorated with expectorant and mucolytic. Dry coughs are usually postnasal drip, very little from above that are treated with antihistamines and othe remedies to prevent drip from the sinuses. There you go, the answer is different.
