No: You should try to take your medicine regularly. Missing doses can lead to poor BP control. If you miss a dose, do not double up on the next. Just resume it as you would normally take it.

Dilation: Amlodipine dilates the arteries which lowers the blood pressure. If you miss a dose the arteries start constricting and raise the blood pressure.

: Yes BP often drops after eating as blood flow is directed to the gut to process what you eat.  In some older folks on BP MEDS this can lead to dizziness and falling.  Remind to push-up and down on her toes before she gets up as this may help.

I would check it a few more times and show to Dr. Go to uptodate.com and read more.  Some home BP DEVICES are not very accurate have her Dr Office check it

Odd combo-see Dr: The sleep issue, diet, dizziness, lbp do not conveniently fit together to give an easy answer. You need to be seen and examined by a provider who can get a good history and put the pieces together, and order tests if necessary, to see what is going on and why.

Diuretics such as hydrochlorothiazide and spironolatone as well as beta-blockers such as atenolol can cause erection problems. There are some BP meds that may help you with erectile function, including arbs such as losartan and Alpha blockers such as doxazosin.

BP: Depends on what you mean by super high. High blood pressure with symptoms needs to be seen urgently. High blood pressure without symptoms needs evaluation and treatment soon but not necessarily in er.  There is no magic cut off number but if your systolic is over 180 you should be seen pretty quickly. Over 200 and er wouldn't be a bad idea.
