However, you need to be certain that these changes do not reflect kidney involvement from your lupus. You are already on CellCept (mycophenolate mofetil) so there has to be some issue there. Only if allergic: Foods should not cause flare up of lupus unless you,'re allergic. If you,'re sensitive you may find some foods make you feel more arthritis but they,'re not causing a flare.

Several possibles: There are many issues that can cause elevation of muscle enzymes. The major ones are meds (most commonly statins) and diseases that can cause muscle inflammation of damage. I would urge a rheumatology consultation.

It can: Prednisone is an oral corticosteroid and is associated with increased intraocular pressure (glaucoma) and generalized rise in blood pressure as well. This may, at least partially, be due to fluid retention and increased blood volume. Steroids given by other routes--inhaled/topical/injection--do not seem to have this side effect. Blood pressure should be monitored carefully when taking prednisone.

Prednisone: often causes an elevation in the neuts. If anything lymphs tend to be on the low side. Upper limit of normal WBC is about 10.5. So 15 is a mild increase

No: Dental infections do not cause hives elsewhere on the skin. You did not say where your hives are located. It around the mouth it could be an allergic reaction to your toothpaste. If it is any other part of the body then it is unrelated to mouth or teeth.

doctors had me on prednisone several times. i also switched birth control. then i got anxiety, migraines, high bp. i stopped both and am getting better. what caused it and is it safe to use bc again?
