If buttered, cheesy, or cooked in oil, more likely to increase acid reflux. Everyone is different; if it seems to worsen heartburn or acid brash, avoid it. Avoid:fatty/greasy/oily foods, cheese, peppermint, chocolate, alcohol, tomatoes, caffeine, citrus, overeating.

: Doxy can directly irritate the esophagus, cause inflammation or even ulcerate the esophagus. It can cause heartburn and upset stomach. Try taking it with a full glass.of water after taking a liquid antacid recommended by your pharmacist and/or just after a meal.

If however you have inflammation due to gerd, this can be progressive &amp; needs to be controlled. Start with behavior &amp; diet changes (see prior healthtap answers), add acid-blocker medications (either h2-blockers or ppi's). Get evaluated, especially if atypical, chronic &amp;/or worsening.
