my eye is pink but it doesn't itch, hurt, doesn't have crust or isn't swollen. is it still a pink eye?

Conjunctivitis: Sounds like it.  If there is any question in your mind that this is other than a self-limiting viral infection or an allergy, go and see an ophthalmologist asap.  You should never fool with your vision.  Hope this clears quickly.

eyes aren't red but is having a lot of eye goop, could it be anything but pink eye? like i said his eyes are not red or swollen

Could be sinus: the eye drainage could be coming backward from his nose. If he has cold symptoms, this may be the case
could keep cleaning it out and see your doctor for an exam if the symptoms persist

Dacryocystitis: Obstruction of the nasolacrimal duct, with or without a dacryolith, can lead to dacryocystitis, an infection of the tear duct into the nose. Actinomycetes species are a common culprit. The infection can spread to the conjunctiva and cause a chronic "pink eye." an ophthalmologist can probe the duct, which might be curative along with antibiotic therapy. A dacryocystorhinostomy is sometimes needed.

Pink eye: Absolutely. You need to get an antibiotic drop for the eye so the infection resolves.   Wash your hands frequently and clean all of the doorknobs around the house and the common area that people touch. Good luck and feel better.

Saline rinses: Advise rinsing his eyes with saline. Taking an antihistamine and please see your physician right away. If there is mucus drainage from the eyes, he should receive a course of antibiotic drops.

Swelling eye: If an MD diagnosed pink eye, it is a viral infection.
Gentak eye drops by script are generally used to keep the eyelid from secondary infection (bacteria). Also, swelling may occur as an allergic reaction to the virus.
You may use Benadryl oral 1 tsp q 6 hrs q for eyelid 
swelling, itching. If the eyelid becomes angry red and spreads or has a purple hue to it, increased discharge, fevers, see MD.

i thought i had one swollen lymph node, but i felt another one. they are right next to each other. i had pink eye and a long sickness. i am just wondering if it's normal to have them right next to each other.

Accepted Answer

Not unusual: These lymph nodes are linked by a thin vessel system similar to arteries or veins. Two in the same region is not unusual. When one is active at cleaning up after an infection another nearby may also be triggered to act at the same time.

september 5th i got pink eye,it went away.next saturday i was ok.this saturday my eyes got swollen shut and now i have a blood clot. please help?

I'm not sure..: ...what you mean by blood clot?  Perhaps you are seeing red/blood in the sclera/white part of your eye? Most conjunctivitis is viral, and will often clear without antibiotics. But with a recurrence, seemingly more severe with thicker discharge you need to see your ophthalmologist or primary provider. A physical exam and evaluation of your eyes is needed. Good wishes:)

spent all day crying yestrdy .i woke up today with my lower eyelids puffy swollen and crusty, and a little itchy..can excess crying cause pink eye?

Eyelid edema: Following intense emotional situations with crying, runny nose, and lots of wiping eyelids and nose secretions, the eyelids often swell, eyes look red, and the ocular surface may be slightly irritated. Mucous is generated by the eye in response to the irritation. Sometimes contamination can be introduced into the eye with all the wiping. Not usually an infection results, but if worse, see eye doc.

i have had what my gp called pink eye since thursday the 1st of august, he gave me eye drops called zopax. i have used them as prescribed since. but still my eye continues to be pink, swollen, blurry to see and crys continuously. what does this mean?

Confusing post: Zopax is the name of an anti-anxiety drug used in South Africa that does not come in drop form &amp; would not be used for pinkeye. When any drug  does not help, it may be because it is the wrong drug or the person is experiencing a sensitivity/side effect of the drug
