Should not combine: Although alieve, or naproxen, is frequently used when a patient is taking low dose Aspirin therapy (81mg), it should not be used with full strength aspirin.  It will add little to the anti-inflamatory effects of full strength aspirin, and compound the side effects.

Not a good idea: I would not mix these two meds because of a significant increase in the risk of ulcers or GI bleeds with this combination.

Accepted Answer

: Combining aspirin and naproxen can increase your bleeding risk and also increases problems with kidney function and blood pressure. That said, if you are taking a daily aspirin 325mg under a doctor’s supervision, and you have pain, a single naproxen separated by several hours is probably safe once in a while, but I wouldn’t take it daily. Tylenol is probably safer. Please discuss with your doctor

Neither: It depends on why the bilirubin is elevated. It could be benign elevation, it could be related to a variety of different types of   liver diseases. The question is why is the bilirubin elevated.  With that information, and the type of liver disease you have we can better recommend.

No: If you have a true Aspirin allergy, it is very likely you will also be allergic to Naproxen (naprosyn).

Yes: That should be ok if ASA has not worked for you  Do note that they may have an additive effect on your stomach lining. If you already have stomach problem (gastritis, ulcer etc), consider taking an acid-controller with it.  If you need to take NSAID regularly, you should discuss it with your doctor.

No magic number: Long term use of alleve and/.Or Aspirin can lead to stomach ulcers, esophageal ulcers and a number of other bleeding problems. The serious consequences of these agents relates to bleeding thouhg drugs in this class (nsaids) can cause cardiac and kidney problems. 
Check with your physician regarding how long and how much you should be taking and are there any alternatives.

Rarely: Aleve (naproxen) is more likely to cause liver inflammation but this is a relatively uncommon side effect.
