: Metronidazole doesn't generally cause such side effects. Best to check with your doctor, and perhaps (at her discretion) to have a urinalysis and culture to check on UTI possibility -- especially if you've had UTIs previously and the symptoms are the same. (MTZ is not effective against most UTI bacteria, so it is possible to develop UTI while taking it.)

Need Urine Test: You were treated for trichomonas with Metronidazole but that does not sure yeast infection, but the test for yeast was negative, you have urinary frequency and need to get checked and specially to get your urine tested for infection.

Not probable: Common side effects of Flagyl include loose stools, even watery diarrhea, and an upset stomach. Oh, don't drink ANY alcohol while you're on the antibiotic. But, frequent urination should not be related to this abx. Good luck.

Injection: A urinary tract infection can often cause frequent urination, pain with urination and the feeling of needing to go right now. Diabetes can also cause this so make sure that you have been properly tested for this and aren't simply assuming that you don't have it.

Prostatic hypertrophy can lead to 'dribbling' and a sense of needing to urinate; especially at night.

Urinary frequency: Several possibilities. If small amounts with urgency or pain, a urinary tract infection is likely. Possibly overactive bladder. If large aounts of urine, i.e. bladder usually is quite full, then diabetes is probably the most likely possibility. Seriously abnormal kidney function could do it. Or hormonal problems, especially one called diabetes insipidis. Some of these are serious; see doctor soon.

: Hyper glycemia is one of the causes though not a very frequent cause of frequency. I think you are worrying too much, If you have family history of Diabetes and also can't stop worrying have your MD do a blood sugar and urine sugar test. I think you will be fine.

: Sometimes travel, specially long distance alters the body rhythm and can cause change sleep pattern. In smnia can cause urge to urinate. You should gradually get back to your normal rhythm. If not then let your doc help.

Infection: UTI, prostatitis, cystitis, and infection of the urinary tract. Diabetes should be ruled out. Get a urine analysis and culture and if sexually active and unprotected, get an STD screen. Abstain sexually for 1 week until cleared by your physician
