No risk, no worry: Genital HPV infection is spread only by sex -- you won&#x27;t infect anyone with HPVt or any other STD. But there could be risk of spreading non STD infections, including intestinal bacteria, staph, COVID-19, and other viruses. Of course you should wash your hands after masturbating, just like routine washing after toilet. I hope you always do so.

no visible warts now but i may be hpv positive. does masturbation spread the virus?can i masturbate in between getting vaccine?

HPV infection: I'm not sure how you would know you "may be HPV positive" if you don't have warts. If you are the partner of someone with genital HPV (e.g. an abnormal pap smear), you may or may not be infected. But if you see no skin abnormalities, you needn't worry at all. Everyone gets HPV, usually several times; by age 48, for sure you have had it, and also too old for vaccine. Masturbation causes no harm.

No: No, i don't think so. 

They are very different and i don't believe, ever spread as you've asked.

Both are easily treated by acid or coagulation. A doctor will treat the genital warts ... Over the counter treatments for plantar warts are effective.

No: There are dozens of strains of HPV and only 2 are known to cause genital warts. Each strain has its preferred location, and the plantar wart strain is one that lives within regular skin while the genital wart prefers the very different skin structure of the genitals and perianal area.

: Yes, the hpv warts can be self inoculated as well as with sexual contact. Please see a GYN MD as soon as possible and have them treated.

Yes: It is a contact infection.  No matter what you are doing, if your naked skin gets in contact with it, it can hitch a ride and hang on in which case you become the lucky owner of your own hpv.  You will know when you notice the warty growth on the body part that got in contact with your partner's wart or hpv.

No: You do dot get them that way. They are passed from infected genital skin on one person  to uninfected genital skin of another person.

Saliva: This will not transmit sexually transmitted diseases even if you are using somebody else's saliva as a lubricant. In order to get an STD you must get it from somebody other than yourself, and saliva generally inactivates most organisms because of the enzymes it contains.

Sure: There are no restrictions on masturbation. It is healthy sexual outlet and part of normal sexual behavior. Getting the vaccine is not an issue. Good job on getting the vaccinated.
